The Artist
"You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have." – Maya Angelou
Hi! I’m Stepheny MacLeod, the artist behind Stepheny Studio. I’m so glad you’re here.
Stepheny Studio is my creative home, where I bring original drawings, paintings, high-quality prints, and custom art pieces to life. Since graduating from York University’s Honors BFA Program in 2019, I’ve been pursuing my passion full-time, sharing my work at art shows, exhibitions, and markets across the GTA. You may have seen my pieces featured in The Visual Art Journal, heard me speak in a live interview, or spotted my recent work Next Stop Entropy 0.2 in the Expressions Exhibition.
With the launch of this fresh new website, Stepheny Studio has taken on a bold, vibrant look—designed to reflect the movement, detailed line work, and layered textures that are core to my artistic style. It's more than just a shop, it’s an immersive space to explore, feel inspired, and get to know my creative world.
Art, for me, is a journey of constant exploration of ideas, emotion, and material. My Drawings focus on expressive lines and intricate mark-making using ink pens, charcoal, and pencil, while my Paintings play with bold colors and rich textures using acrylics, oil-based media, modeling paste, relief outliners, and beyond. I also love experimenting with Mixed Media and have recently been diving deeper into the digital art space, all while staying true to the tactile, hands-on nature of traditional art.
Through Stepheny Studio, I offer a variety of accessible, expressive works, along with custom commissions, where I work one-on-one with you to create something truly special. Whether you're decorating your space, gifting someone you care about, or just looking for something unique, I’d love to help bring your vision to life.
You can explore and shop my artwork right here on this website, and keep an eye out for updates on local art markets and exhibitions, where you can see the work in person and say hello!
Thanks so much for stopping by and supporting emerging artists like me. I hope my art speaks to you and adds a little inspiration to your day.
